How are we different?
The services we offer are underpinned entirely by evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and are fully consistent with current legislative frameworks, national clinical guidelines and occupational standards, such as those established by the Department of Health, OFSTED, NICE, DANOS and LDAF.
In the current climate of greater accountability in health and social care, the commissioning of therapeutic input and training from people who are relatively unskilled, under-qualified and often totally unregulated is increasingly being recognised as a serious and widespread problem. For this reason, our services are delivered by a team of specialist clinical psychologists who have all received a fully comprehensive training in the clinical application of evidence-based techniques and attained doctoral qualifications. They all receive regular clinical supervision and undertake continuous professional development. Many are also involved in developing new innovations in CBT through conducting clinical research.
